Today is the eighth anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks along with the attack on the Pentagon. Many people lost their lives that day and we remember them today more than any other day as it is the anniversary.
Earlier today a U.S. Coast Guard training exercise which posed no public threat caused a media frenzy. The incident prompted a short pause in departing flights at nearby Reagan National Airport. Basically the Coast Guard held up a ship which caused other people to panic and wondered if it had anything to do with terrorism.
The Coast Guard added that there was no danger and they did this sort of thing all that time. I understand why it was such a big deal because of the deadly attacks eight years ago, and even though it has been so long, the nation has been in utter chaos, one way or another, since then.
So we remember today those that lose their lives on 9/11 and they shall never be forgotten in the hearts of those that love them and those that survivd them.
